Founded in Kampala, Uganda, Irenic is the country’s first artisanal luxury fragrance house, established by a certified Ugandan perfumer whose relationship with scent began at the age of eight. After formal perfumery training in London and further professional studies, she brought her vision to life  at 26 with the launch of irenic.

irenic is an expression of identity, born from a desire to tell familiar stories in an unfamiliar way, our perfumes are based on the essence of Uganda, its landscapes, its memories and its people. Each fragrance is built on a refined minimalist foundation, then brought to life by a single star ingredient sourced and inspired by the nation itself. These are scents that feel known before they are understood; echoes of childhood, of a place and belonging. We believe perfume does not need to announce itself loudly to be remembered. Our approach is clean, intentional, and understated. Every composition is carefully balanced to sit close to the skin, revealing itself slowly and personally, rather than demanding attention.
